Birth Pains~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Birth Pains

Shadow lurking about worry you
Expect troubles come without clue
Sleep and meals, too much to few
Searching for monsters to slew

Swinging extreme moods to and fro
Depressed and excited in one
In all things suddenly a pro
Perfectly all preparations be done

Everyone unconsciously offend
Panic buttons switched on alert
Red flags to all trusted you send
Logic has been twisted pervert

How softly feet walk on tip toes
Undecided how to give you comfort
Patiently listens to all your woes
Desperation lined every effort

Don’t worry you’re not going crazy
Nature made parenthood that way
Birth of a dreamed life is not easy
In all these troubles, love ones stay
