Old Habits~by Melvina Germain

Old Habits

Don’t you know it
you’re driving her insane
aging old roomies
come in from the rain

Your mental capacity
is like frying up noodles
such an audacity
the mornings are brutal

That wicked old maid
dips large in the sauce
she’s vehemently afraid
of sobriety’s cost

whether alcohol or acid
It’s time to review
a change of old habits
might look good on you
