Day I Left You~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Day I Left You

In midst of rain together we play
I left as you turn dance and sway
Didn’t mean things go this way
Strong winds had blown me away
I would rather besides you stay

Together we climbed the mountain
I left as you traced the terrain
Didn’t mean to cause you pain
Strong winds had cast me off again
I would rather besides you remain

In the carnival we went to every stall
I left as you aimed to throw the ball
Didn’t mean to leave without a call
Strong winds had caused me to fall
I would rather besides you stand tall

I wouldn’t have left without adieu
I left, and why you never knew
Didn’t mean to end it with an argue
Strong winds blew without a cue
I would rather stay besides you
