Bluebell~by Karen King

Bluebell

They grow in clumps above the earth,
some here, some there.
Under the trees.
In the woods.

Some standing to attention,
some upright.
As in reverence
to some invisible God.

They sit in groups
as if watching
a silent outdoor concert.

They move in the wind
and their scent
wafts towards me.

Ah, the bluebell,
what a delicate
flower of perfection.
You are.
