Purple Rain~by Norman Wilson

Purple Rain

When are you coming home darling girl
For a moon that running round the world
While the sea struggles in rolling high tides
As I keep dying bit by bit, inside

I smell the scent of roses all alone
As they grow just outside our country home
Where the birds still sing heavenly in the trees
Hiding sleeplessly deep within the maple leaves

We used to cozy and cuddle in our bed
Until you left with something, still unsaid
While Prince sang his song Purple Rain
Leaving me pondering within your pain

Little Bobby Wilson died since you left
Someone shot him through the forehead
They say Billy “Boy” Floyd did it accidently
Now he too lies in a bloody mess

My world has changed so much dince you went away
As I cannot remember for what
What reason you might have used when you left
For i too now die a thousand deaths

Please won’t you come home my sweet
Will you not cross over the distance of streets
The streest that are covered in Purple Rain
Healing my heartache in a heart of pain
