By The Sea

An elegant maiden
sat down by the sea,
she was radiant and beautiful
I smiled, wishing it was me.
A whisper came upon me
and I heard a faint voice say,
you dazzle like a diamond
in the sapphire of the day.
Since you were a little girl
I’m very happy to repeat,
the maiden over there
is a reflection of you by the sea.
