When Words Are Not Enough~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

When Words Are Not Enough

What can one say when words are not enough?
Life has been rolling tumultuous and rough
How one tell a ravaged soul to be tough?
Would not one in choosing words wince and cough?

What words can comfort a friend in great pain?
Words of sympathy like shallow refrain
How can one a crying heart’s tears restrain?
Would not one choosing words be uncertain?

When words are not enough what can one do?
Pains that a caring friend is feeling too
Not even Cassanova grief can woo
Would it be enough to sit besides you?

When words are not enough what can I do?
Be silent and show my caring is true
Hold your hands and together see it through
For I’m lost too, when words are not enough.
