Happy Mother’s Day Mom~by Melvina Germain

Happy Mother’s Day Mom

You don’t know me anymore,
aww Mom, that’s ok,
I definitely remember you.
A strong and vibrant woman,
for many years through.

Heartfelt through to the core,
for family, you always wanted more.
I watched you worry, I watched you cry.
You helped many, as the years flew by.

With age, we grow to understand,
some are dealt a difficult hand.
By the time we realize, it may be too late,
we’re slowly drifting toward God’s gate.

As you sit with old thoughts simmering,
reliving the past, as real as it can be.
Perhaps you’ll remember those big brown eyes,
from a chubby little girl, hey Mom, that’s me.
