If Only I Could~by Paul F. Lenzi

If Only I Could

Large17

“The Big Boulder” by Wanda Mumm

like a stone
half as big
as a house
hate has mass
heavy held
in its place
weighting
body and soul
painful anchor
preventing
all progress
a life crushed
beneath its own
bitterness
never to feel
the sweet
freedom of
walking in
spry lightfoot
tolerance
finding new
joys of discovery
gleaning from
different opinions
and viewpoints
an ever more
complex complete
understanding
of man in
his teeming
diversity
