Saul Of Tarsus~by Neil Perry

Saul Of Tarsus

He became far too indoctrinated,
Cold religion stole his love
For the living souls around him
That he did not think much of,

As his soul rose up in arrogance –
Religiously – without compassion
Looking down on every sinner
That had no religious religion,

He became a first class bore –
Filled with hate, and fanaticism
Blackening everything he saw
Which in turn came under criticism;

But one day, he saw the light
In a blinding flash of realism,
That for a brief time stole his sight,
But after that, gave it back to him.
