BLACK TEA~by Indira Sadanandan

BLACK TEA

In the sick bed
Black tea with a pinch of pepper powder
Added with lavish sugar is
Really a sumptuous drug
To take you in a
World of oblivion
A world of a beautiful
Unending sleep
Of the luminous soul
In the warmth of your body.

  1. The imagery of this poem is succulent, that’s the only word I could come up with that really gave it due credit. Lovely work.
