rippling in the time~by Elven Debi

rippling in the time

water, rippling in the time gone by
time sits slowly with a book and shine, wistfully.
and only the crown of mountains can express my desire
and soon I will be a child again
born in a season of rain
with loving eyes around me
and foot by foot to steal through the trees
in a far off home
never knowing the man I am now.
the words that I write,
they flow over the weir
take their tumble
and become the flowers of corn
as the winter frost creeps up to my door
where nothing else matters
water, rippling in the time gone by
.
