Hot, languid summer~by Marieta Csillag

Marieta Csillag shared Maxine Estelle‘s photo.

Hot, languid summer

Amongst the hidden foliage green,
scented grass, and vibrant petals,
him and I are sharing dreams,
sweet nothings, for late blooming rebels.

Darling, look, a four leaved clover,
he says laughing, we’re in luck.
Sure, we must be, I am thinking,
Life gave, and we loved, awestruck.

I say nothing, I take his clover,
caress his lips, closed eyes, at will,
amongst the foliage, grass and flowers,
where I wish that time stood still.
