Crippled World~by Norman Wilson

Crippled World

Filled is the darkness with bright stars in skies
Where lays another world before my eyes
A world of fantasy a world of dreams
With golden linings tugging at the seems

I wish to be and find the world I dream
In space with my girl to find a world, still unseen
So we may rise above a glowing moon
As I wistfully dream of the planet that looms

Star trackers search on my behalf
Clearing the heavens for my path
With star rovers seeking out into space
Where I might honeymoon in a special place

Niagara Falls is a special haunt we could go
Los Vegas too with all its wonderful shows
Yet I see a planet in the distant skies
That magically appears with my wandering eyes

It brings a mystery of wondrous change
Free of interlopers to transform or rearrange
As we enjoy and pick the fruits of paradise
Leaving a crippled world, never thinking twice
