Desert Stars~by Norman Wilson

Desert Stars

Tendering dark
Touches a soulless earth
Given of heart
With veins that burst

Desert stars
Hovering higher than
New York skyline
Breaching sandalwood sand

Into darkness
Blindly we will fly
Possessed wittingly
To survive

Bursting into infinity
To rousing eyes
Defaulting in wonder
To a blue sunrise

So glib is the night
Where desert stars light
For wandering souls
Traveling to hold

Shall we access heaven
Before God dies
Beyond the inferno
Where souls fry
