WHEN PAIN BECOMES A HABIT~by Anita Sahoo

WHEN PAIN BECOMES A HABIT

When pain becomes a habit
it hurts no more
it’s claws no more felt
it looses its grip
darkness no more intimidates
night becomes solitude
and day becomes a play of
forlorn attitude
life becomes a facet of gratitude

Ones endurance steps in
it becomes a mate
in its permanence
sticking to it
hatred no more remains
transcends to ignorance
pain becomes tolerance
mellows down it’s intensity
when pain becomes a habit
pain no more pains
life smiles at it becoming
a mellifluous tune
then pain remains only
as a sweet pain..
