Saturn Sunsets
Firestorms painting evening skies
With Saturn sunsets raging by
Erasing the last light of day
Concealing hearts in disarray
Shades veiled in troubling days
Shadowing eyes in blank sorrow
Brushing painted strokes on her face
Outlining horrors of tomorrow
Love once painted crimson-red
Where heartaches come instead
On tossed lifelines drifting about
To our cleaving hearts waning in doubt
There are great walls rising to fall
As Saturn sunsets flame in fireballs
Setting loves ire to rail in discontent
For clippings of love never to be meant
I read tealeaves on the bottom of my cup
After the firestorm, that woke me up
Searching for the lifeline love renders
For our red-crimson hearts ready to surrender
