Surrender Not
If I were to die today
freedom may be your storm,
no pounding words
no one who dares to interfere.
Be warned,
life in haste
fails withering seeds,
take heed.
Ugly be the evil who steals away,
black days and nights on display.
Tragedy branded on thin skin
no magic filled your eyes
why did it happen,
when did it begin.
May I ask, when will it end.
Pain-struck never a surprise,
soft wears the best disguise.
Your discourse may be lengthy
Will those you love relinquish their roles.
Awww let the story be told.
An expectation of degradation
hells wrath is the accumulation.
Pray for whips to stop flying,
find the strength to keep trying,
Let your soul forget the dying.
Only you can tear away old chains
Only you can stop fostering old pain.
Look up!
Reach high!
Let success
be the vision you see,
don’t allow your feelings
to be your catastrophe.
Believe in you, know what you can do.
May love lay in the trenches of your soul
Love is the answer
it’s all you need to behold.
See the love, feel the love, be the love.
You’re in control, believe it, it’s all up to you.
