Did She
Did she pour upon the sun
A sundown that came with the rain
As she whistled hellishly insane
Just before the teardrops came
My cake lay melting outside
As I asked myself why
Then she whistled again in shame
As she left my cake in the rain
Shall I ever taste the cake she baked
Shall I ever live down my mistakes
As the war that came under the sun kills
One cake and two melting hearts that spill
Now my cake is what I call, in disarray
In sundown she whistles and walks away
Leaving me licking the icing bowel
When she left with my heart and soul
