Daily missive for Tuesday the 15th of November.~by Peter Forster

Daily missive for Tuesday the 15th of November.

So little light to play with
The world in grey,
An aging photograph
Framed in peeling
Gold leaf.
Sepia coloured
Blank faces
Haunted by the weight
Of life
Oppressing the spring
In their step.
The super moon
Wasted,
Hidden as it is
Beneath a dirty blanket.
Even the clouds
Have been slated of contrast
And are pulled tight,
Zipped up
Against the cold.
Water drips
From their finger tips
A secret mizzle
Hanging silently in the air.
Little droplets
Splintering what light
There is
Absorbing sound.
The world muffled
Drab and forlorn,
Stumbling through
The universal.
Tumbling blindly
From one day to the next,
Leaving little
In its wake
Not even a coke can
But carrying all of
Its knowledge
In perpetuity,
For you and me
To see
In every
Falling raindrop.
