Ethical Equity~by Paul F. Lenzi

Ethical Equity

“Face of Diversity” by Kaadaa

having walked among

chieftains and chattel

I understand power

well used and abused

having argued against

kings and commoners

I know of prejudice

recognize ugly distinctions

by ill-tended hearts

hence have I pledged

to the virtue and value

of ethical equity

men women children

black yellow white brown

share one right to respect

universal sincere

what may justly divide us

is not whom we are

but the choices we make

and the actions we take

right and wrong

good and bad

functions neither of

birth nor geography

rather they fix to decisions

behaviors in turn earning

full and fair judgment

the travesty stands where

such judgments are

meanly condemned as

rank bigotry

baring accusers

as mudslinging

opportunistic assassins
