I LOOK UPON YOUR FACE~by Rajendra Padhi

I LOOK UPON YOUR FACE

I floated on the waves of your dreams
Sailing in the boat of life over the silvery stream
Begging on time when gone out of my wit
A story of the mermaid and man
Turning our love nameless to flow as tears.

Tell me the name of the sunny lake where you play as a swan
Little waves must be singing of your charm,
I wear the blanket of snow in this winter night
Walking in the lost paths to find out my sun
Melting me into a river I will flow in search of your spring.

Tell me the name of the palace where you sing
Reawakening the feelings of the breath of our past,
Who is standing at your terrace listening
The story of a scattered heart of our unmapped time
I search for someone I never hope to find.

The lamp of my life glows in the last vestiges of oil
An earthen cup is my heart,
Still I look upon your face as blossom in the trees
Where birds cluster in joy to have a glimpse
Guiding me through mazes and labyrinths of love.
