The Christmas lady~by Nutan Sarawagi

Inspired by my poetfriend Ron DuBour

The Christmas lady

Image may contain: 1 person

She is the Christmas lady dressed in coat of red
a mink cap placed on her head
in her today she lives in her tomorrow
With the white fur placed on her lovely head
red shoes matching her red socks
to her heart beating red

She is yesterday today’s tomorrow
she is Every day’s Christmas
dressed in her Christmas best
Every year as she visits us
never giving herself a rest
For she is Christmas herself
yesterday’s Christmas in its tomorrow’s
in her seeking rest

As she heralds it in every year
Never failing never waning in its fest

In her read dress beating everyone red
She is life’s siren polished in her red shoes
To meet the Christmas mistletoe placed above her head

For she is love’s day pleasing us at its behest
singing Christmas carols for she knows the best
welcoming Christmas in her eyes
in her Christmas zest
Beautiful so full of love tying us together
in a love more beautiful
never to go away
flying in it’s love
In us waiting
to find our love
In her love
life just nests !
