Can’t live~by Nutan Sarawagi

Inspired by Mandour Saleh Hikel

Can’t live

Your elegant shyness screams to me
Of hopes forgotten
Dreams of me

In it to portray my love
In you to quench my thirst of love
In dreams forgotten
filled with love
flaming in its flame
Burning in love

In wishes to catch
In hopes of love
In a life once mine
in love

In a life
In you to will
In a love to come and go at your will
Now I lie tasting that thirst
In a never ending quest
drinking up my woes
To quench me
to never go

To put an end to my life
For without you
I cannot live
I would rather die
than hope to live

Without you I break my will
In hopes to still
Dream scattered
in a poem lost
In a life gone
No more
to last

In a will broken
Unbending its quill
a life half lived
unwritten stilled
To be written

I don’t want to live
I die with you in my will
To kill my heart
In it to die
No more your will
I die in your will
