Tele from my rooftop~by Payal Sunandan

Tele from my rooftop

Step away, step closer
on the edge of my L-shaped
rooftop with dear no one,
listen and watch, is different.

Thin walking shadows on the ground,
some beatbox regulated in spectrum,
180 MHz of 60 signals,
limped persuasions
and commanding tones
of thrifty servants,
flames down and flames up,
dancing in zig zag fashion,
it should have been us.

Sometimes we find love
on edges by ourselves,
where big crowds hear no one,
dear no one gives you the jacket
when it is cold,
independent as you may be,
time is a bribe and it pays
everyone a love song.
