The Silent Moon~by Anil Kumar Panda

The Silent Moon

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing and sky

The Moon is silent today
Behind clouds it is hiding its face
The night has lost the fragrance
The flower has fallen from her tress

The Moon is shedding
A little pale light across the stream
Night hides a sad tale and
She lost faith in an early morn dream

The Moon may not dare
To come up and leave the sky dark
Loneliness grips her heart
As she retires to bed after day’s work

The Moon wishes it had
Wings to fly and forever get lost
Tears have not ceased to
Flow since he has broken her trust

The Moon would not ever
Shed its milky glow on her sad face
No one is there to sing song
Of love playing with her dense tress
