Heart’s Eyes~by Lilian Dipasupil Kunimasa

Heart’s Eyes

How can one’s heart see beyond

When soul to the past is bound
Memories that dreams do hound
Where no peace can be found

Listen to drum’s grieving sound
The pains echoing in the ground
Bleeding soles dried earth pound

Pierced lips a shrill voice found
Sleeping gods gathered around
Frozen hearts the souls astound

The world may be molded round
Earth is just water and dirt mound
Yet man’s hope and love abound

If only one’s heart can see beyond
