Heaven~by Norma Woods

If I meet you in Heaven, will you remember me
you’ve been gone so long, I’m not the girl I used to be;
I’ve aged so much since you left here, that I am not so sure
that you’ll remember me and how our hearts were young and pure.

we were such a crazy pair, nothing we wouldn’t do
we got in so much trouble, and I blamed it all on you
I know you cared for me, we were together every day
and then you went and left me, is Heaven far away?

I cried a million tears that day, and I have never been the same
people tried to comfort me, but I couldn’t say your name:
I still remember every thing, like it was yesterday
but it was many years ago, and I feel the same today

Heaven can’t be far away, cause I can feel you near
every time that I am sad or shed the slightest tear:
you whisper to me late at night, when I am fast asleep
you tell that you love me and that our love will keep

It has been so many years, that I don’t look the same
but in my heart I am still the girl who couldn’t say your name
I think of you in heaven and my heart skips a beat
hoping that you’ll remember me, when once again we meet..
