HEROIN–by Carl Gooch

Here is a poem I hope you don’t understand too well.

Heroin
Here I am I’m back again
In your mind I’m your friend.
I’m your master you’re my slave
I will lead you to an early grave.

When did it start you may guess
It always starts when you say yes.
The first time we met I was free,
Now your future will pay for me.

You thought I could do no harm,
Now there’s a needle in your arm.
You toss and turn drenched in sweat,
All your dreams are now regrets.

Your dear Momma see how she cries,
When she see the reaper in your eyes.
She will hold you and stroke your hair,
She will blame herself it’s just not fair.

I’ll break you body I’ll steal your mind
And you’ll do anything for me anytime.
You may have thought it was a game,
Now I have control; Heroin is my name.
