There is nothing quite majestic, as the site of those tall ships.

Gliding across the ocean top with the winds behind her hips.

To imagine how it must feel to sail the open seas.

Close your eyes and picture that, flowing with the breeze.

The artwork of the craftsmen is second there to none.

Polished walnut and mahogany, handcrafted till it’s done.

The mighty sails billow forth, as if in the clouds.

Powered by natures force, it seems as if they bow.

The captain of a tall ship, what an honor that would be.

To be there as if time was still and sail the seven seas.

The tall ships of the world, their time is not yet done.

To every boy and girl they are mystifying fun.

To imagine how it once was, took months to cross the sea.

The lives and wealth that have been lost, forever they will be.

New lands found, chartered courses, cargo of supplies.

We owe it to the tall ships that sailed across the skies.

The tall ships of today have not changed in their style.

The shipmates are the same, only wear a different smile.

The tall ships are for pleasure, proudly all displaying.

Their majestic beauty with flags held high and waving.

To imagine how it must feel, to sail the open seas.

Close your eyes and picture that, flowing with the breeze.
