Your Lightly Laced Eyes~by Arti Rai

Your Lightly Laced Eyes

Your lightly laced eyes,
Small garden birds hopping
On the wet boughs of your laughter,
As they peck my face.
Let them go deeper,
So deep, l’ll let them touch my dream.
It is dusk.
Their small whites, play with twilight,
Their sad cemetery blues
Camouflage light.
Wrapped in their plume,
In moist etherness
I bend to your tresses,
Shaking an inflorescence of kisses
Bathing your face
In night bloom.
