The bridges that we’ve built ~by Joseph Harshberger

The bridges that we’ve built

The bridges that we’ve built just to get us where we’ve been, the things we do and say just to do it all again.

We carry ourselves through life waiting on a dream, sometimes we get close; but then we run out of steam.

How far will we go to achieve what we want, what more must we give to feel confident.

How many lies must we tell ourselves to just go one more day, the truth goes forgotten until it completely fades away.

Our lives are a maze with many twists and turns, our mistakes and our failures are the reason that we learn.

The sands of time for you will eventually deplete, what else will you sacrafice just to avoid your death and defeat.

Money won’t free you from the inevitable future that awaits, you need to focus on the time you have and learn to appreciate.

Enjoy life too the fullest don’t expect a clean slate, eventually we all meet our maker you can’t run from fate.
