You say you don’t know how, well let me show you this.

Just find a place to relax and let your thoughts just reminisce.

Grab yourself some paper and jot down all your thoughts.

Most poetry is rhyming that sure does count a lot.

Then put your words in story form and not all jumbled up

Show your readers what you’re saying, like coffee is to cup.

Now let’s start with a simple one the subject is your cat.

A lot of words to work with, example rat, sat or lap.

Then write down what you want to say about your loving cat.

How every day when you are alone it will sleep upon your lap.

Then add the reasons you love this cat or anything you choose.

And all the funny things it does and how you never want to lose.

Then once you get the hang of it, it’s really not that hard.

Try your hand at others subjects and let your mind just go ajar.

You say you don’t know what to write? I will only tell you this.

Everything you see or feel is subject to poetic bliss.

Moments filled with sorrow, moments filled with joy.

Of all of our emotions and thoughts you can employ.

Of all the things you love in life or places you want to see.

Or mother nature at her best from the mountains to the seas.

Now I have heard some people say they just don’t have the time.

As you go upon your day a pocket tape recorder works just fine.

Record your thoughts throughout the day or even the whole week.

Then when you find the time, all your thoughts are in your reach.

Express your thoughts, escape in time, it really helps one to unwind

Don’t be afraid show how you feel take your thoughts and make them real

I hope this writing helps someone on writing poetry

Poetry is but our life, I wish everyone this to see.
