Father And Son~by Sanjib Das

Father And Son
&&&&&&&&&

When father narrates his son
About the Spiritual Mundi
And story of Willie Myrick
Travelling with his kidnappers
Unaware of the destination
But the song “ Every Praise” that he sings aloud
And when his abductors spew profanity
The nine year lad is enabled to find escape route.
When father sermonizes
About the old ropes which can tie
To wipe his hand across mouth
When he tells about the “best” and the “worst”
The son yawns as if belonging to a different planet
This tempt provides not blithe
Gyre of his world’s blood-dimmed tide
Disturbs his mind terribly
Where his eyes hold sky
Blurred and painted red
Blood everywhere in his corrupt world he hates bitterly
Father tamely accepts grievous defeat feeling totally helpless.
