The Sea Of Thoughts~by Hela Tekali

The Sea Of Thoughts

We come to earth not to find love but as seekers
We may not understand the meaning of love
At first as we are overwhelmed by our unquenched thirst
A shoreless ocean is the subtle mind of man
A fearless diver in its depth; as who else can
Eyes cannot distinguish God’s light
By converse of the heart, distinguish we the light
Its beats fill, float like waves, on the ocean’s brink
And, like the waves, pass away, they cannot choose but sink
The breeze ‘s invisible, a world without, we see
Tears rolling down from my eye fill the immense sea
Our bodies are waves or drops in the vast sea
Our soul, like a water’s jar, hast hidden glee
Light first saw darkness, and its bright color falls
Thus, light we learn by darkness beyond the reach of sense and reason at all
The Light that lights the eye’s the light that is in the heart
This is how love at first, is derived from what illumines the heart
Words, as we see, arise like waves upon the sea
By breath of knowledge, they take forms of words, of sounds, then lose themselves and pass away, beneath the ocean’s glee.
