The Shepherd~by Hela Tekali

The Shepherd

I am the shepherd with no home
I have been expelled from my home
My flock of sheep has been unscrupulously stolen from me
My reason of living itself has been taken from me
I live in a century where there is no way for emotion
From the cradle to the grave, I have to be disposed of my all virtuous notion
My modesty has always been my prophecy
Born illiterate, my interrelation with nature has now remained my only secrecy
They have killed what it rests of my wisdom
Only leaving behind inhuman memories and boredom
I am the shepherd who has been expelled from his home
My divine sanctity has been expelled from its home
Preaching in a “Mosque without Mohammed”
For they have killed the shepherd,
The prophet, the seer
For they have decided for humanity to act as its rival peer
