The Mirror~by Dipendra Kumar

The Mirror
—————
The mirror that I bought
is not – – a magic mirror
that’s why,
I can’t make a wish in front of it.
.
But,
I have seen my wife
the magical change
forced me to think
may be,
I am careless that is why,
magic didn’t worked on me.
.
Once I had looked upon my face
and watched myself deep
– – in the mirror darkly – –
but could not find
me
the glossy face the smiles
those brown eyes and shiny nose,
the stylish hair
– – Alas! who took them away?
.
Again last night,
I stood in front of – the – The Mirror
and within it, saw outside of me
I looked then,
my new face
ugly, dirty and mystic.
.
Wished !
I could have – – The Mirror
that could show
the pains of inside,
those kindle stories of own,
but
you know,
The mirror that I bought
is not – – a magic mirror
that’s why,
I can’t make a wish in front of it.
