Ferryman~by Dipendra Kumar

Ferryman
————-

A child has just built
a home, a castle and a park
in the same seashore from sands
where the old, not older Ferry stands.
.
sailing away from those sands
here the Ferry moves
the waves of the big ocean
the trumpet from Ferry buzz.
.
sails away the Ferry by Ferryman,
the charms of the blowing wind
cranes company few yards
will meet the sea in shine.
.
The night will twinkle with lights
she – the wind will play the flute
splashing the water those fishes
she may play strings of Sitar too.
.
Sing a song Ferryman
the mild valley away, chills of moon thine
the sparkling diamond waves
the glaciers soon silver like shines.
.
Sing a song Ferryman
the song of the emerging youth
How you will find a wife, a pal
your children beautiful play with you.
.
Sing a song Ferryman
the lengthy journey from youth
sailing towards tomorrow to be man
the man standing in his boot.
.
Sing a song Ferryman
the dream shared to his child
why abandoned for the wages
why sending love from distance.
.
Sing a song Ferryman
the retirement coming soon
how the ocean becoming your home
how the sky underneath the wavy path.
.
Sing a song Ferryman for once
as you soon will meet again
the children playing in the sand
a home, a castle and a park building again.
