VAIN PRIDE~by Aniruddha Mitra

VAIN PRIDE
——————–

Towards the church
thousands march.
They all pay their devotion to the God.
Forever who is their
immortal lord.
There in the church
rings the bell.
And they all pray,
‘ Oh !Lord save all
from the hell’.
‘The world bears the wounds of heavy injustice,
Be kind enough to pull the sin away,
And bless us all with happiness and peace.
‘God I’m’ thinks the church.
‘Towards me they all march’.
‘God I’m’ says the bell,
‘I sound to make away the hell’.
‘Ha! What’s the other damn!
Supreme Lord I am’ boasts
the idol of the church.
‘Oh! how funny!
What fools they are,
Only vain pride they bear’
Laughs the eternal GOD.
