To Where do words go?.~by Mandour Saleh Hikel

To Where do words go?.

Image may contain: 2 people, people sitting and indoor

My lady wondered
Where to words may withdraw
So gently yet eagerly
My heart grasped her question
With a sigh
As if not to let go
Traced by a long moment of silence
Enfolded on buzzing memories
While my thoughts started to flow
O!!…my Lady
Where do words go
The words…My Princess
leave for more words
Lurk in more words
Hiding slyly
Behind stories and masks
Wild romantic poems
And loving heart’ beats
Shyly kept in hold
Jump about playfully
Yet, so tenderly
Strayed deeply in memories’ maze
And memories my lady
Are nothing but words
Dressed in dispraise or praise
Painting a love Portraits
In Rainbow’s colors
Dwelled in departure’ harbors
Looking for a moment of joy
For the missed color of Rainbow…
The eighth color
The color that abridges the distant sadness
And stores the start of silence
That turns endless
Painting them all in a pale gray color
Allowing the 8 colors of rainbow to withdraw
While words, standing so still
Returning nothing
But words.
