SONG OF MONSOON (6) MONSOON MORNING~by Anil Kumar Panda

SONG OF MONSOON (6)
MONSOON MORNING

Image may contain: plant, flower, outdoor and nature

Coming out from my room
I take a look
At the glowing sign of
Monsoon across the sky;
The soft wind blowing from
The West auguring a rain
That will give freshness
To lives and the dry river
Will not going to die;

Standing on the stairs I watch
Serenading clouds and
Rushing raindrops soaking
The parched earth;
Coloring the fields green
With music and song,
Giving the earth a new birth;

Playing with pearls of light
Hanging onto tips
Of grasses and leaves
And petals of many hue;
The raindrops kill fatigue
Of summer as eyes feast
On miles of pleasant view.
