Daily missive for Monday the 14th of August.
Lock and load.

Do you forget
The damage done
When you are fury
The devastation
Unleashed by fire.
Vindication
Is a powerful excuse
For destruction
Objectifying
An enemy
Becomes easier
With every
Headline screamed.
Rhetoric
Such an easy tool
With which to fool
The frightened
And disadvantaged
From the safety
Of a bunker
Beneath a hill
Upon which innocent
Sacrificial lambs
Will gambol
Until the grazing
Is all but gone.
Too late then to bleat
For equal access
To safe pasture
It takes more
Than wool
To cover the eyes
Of a good shepherd
Who knows the true
Worth of a Wolf
And is unafraid.
But all bare skin
Will peal
When exposed
To excessive heat
Eventually.
