CHANGING OF EVENTS

Dawn breaks-day begins
night stakes her claim
with darkness

leaves drop-fall away
trees stand bare
naked to the winds of
time

a garden of plentiful
becomes sparse
as petals wither and
die

the changing seasons
come and go
as they sport their
splendor

clay when moistened
becomes pliable
then hardens

man lives then passes
returns to live again
to fullfil the cycle
of life.
