The Lonely Lady sings .

She stands aside a tree to play
this lonely lady in Codsall today

She tilt’s her head , under this hamlet sky
as she plucks her strings , this sweet lullaby

As i walked on by , so quiet was she
within a gush of wind , so soft and free

I could also hear , the wind in breeze
the boughs a creaking , within the trees

Singing and playing , for all that pass
this sculptured statue , of that young lass

They say sometines , within the wind aloft
you can hear her singing , around this croft

Inside our village , she loves to play
this lonely lady , in Codsall today
