RENDEZVOUS~by Jyotirmaya Thakur

A decade ago when we were in deep love ,
Young and headstrong teenagers tough ,
The beach a refuge for rendezvous stealth,
Sharing our silly woes our true wealth.

Bathing together in warm waters rewind ,
Holding breathless great joy we found ,
Wonderful dreams of future in mind ,
In harsh world of torment one of a kind .

When we didn’t meet our hearts fret ,
At trifling arguments we were upset ,
Volatile combustion of emotions wet ,
Puppy love yearning we always met .

Defying all convention and tradition old ,
Our love discovered a cocoon mold ,
In a primitive cauldron we melt like gold ,
Hot headed separation had to unfold.

We vowed on the phone we would meet ,
In calmer waters of decade silence seek ,
Each others company if we still feel ,
Without any condition we will meet .

At this very sacred place save grace ,
Timeless bond formed in true haste ,
Ten long years wait to face a space ,
Let not our lonely years go to waste .

Here we will meet as horizon greets ,
Dawn to dusk as the night sleeps ,
Rendezvous unique as two souls meet ,
Resplendent relations compromise sweet.
