To the sea

Morning over Cardiff
Looking to the sea
Across the city landscape
It’s beckoning to me

My soul lies with the ocean
and whenever we’re apart
The sense of loss is palpable
and felt deep in my heart

So, even though it’s distant
out there in Cardiff Bay
It brings a sense of knowing
And a comfort I would say
