AUTUMN SUNSETS~by Jyotirmaya Thakur

The beauty of morning crisp garment,
I dress up in gold stars to look fair,
Silence in the woods were trees are bare,
Intoxicating stealth of woody aromatic air.

I often visit the lonely quiet grove,
Where time stood still in autumn’s awe,
While leaves would rustle on my toes ,
I gathered yellow leaves of gold.

I sat on a log couch fallen down,
Waited for him long in a frown ,
And when he came with a smile,
I picked two leaves to resist for while.

Slipping barks of branches creep,
How hours went by in vagrant keeps,
Our mighty hearts ticking still,
While willows bow down to weep.

Laughing leaves were all over the hill,
Some we exchanged on our sweet will,
Shedding trees like tower bridge,
Gliding glen felt calmly deep.

Autumn sunsets my withered dreams,
Wait for the steps of lingering scenes,
I pick up two leaves in both hands,
One to keep, other sweeps to magic lands.
