BLINKING LEAVES~by Jyotirmaya Thakur

Leaves are blinking stars at night,
In daytime fair flowers sway our sight,
Giant trees with solid bark and branch ,
Rise high to touch heaven with all might.

Leaves in spring cherry pink flowers,
Blossoming trees inspire lyrical bards,
Summer heat is sauvely addressed ,
Calming shades are darkly blessed.

Autumn sunset dancing dazzling fades,
Smooth satin leaves woodland suede,
In autumn glorious leaves start to fly,
The winter tree stretch further dry.

Bamboos naked bare in twilight shy,
Crackling, Breaking twigs fall by,
Some trees huge never blooms,
Holy bunyan grows long roots.

Dark and handsome pines with cones,
Aspen tall pale barks thin brittle bones,
Squirrels hide nuts in holes of shafts,
Ancient oaks live longest in yards.

Willow trees reside right beside waters,
Roots are foundation pillars of bowers,
Beauty of leaves mature like flowers,
Winter frost challenge the barkers.
