– On Lazy Bums: Dead Before Their Deaths-~by Gerry Sikazwe

– On Lazy Bums: Dead Before Their Deaths-

– On Lazy Bums: Dead Before Their Deaths-
Son, daughter;
why do you spoil your body
Loafing it, no work to do;
Suffering your skin
never flooding it with sweat
Unfairly not bending any of your bones
or straining a muscle
Do you think there is such nontity as swagging and slaying
down
deep in the grave were we all head from here
Do you think death gives a hoot about how on fleek
or sleek you die
Do not go back to dust looking like that new
unimproved
Nothing is there, nothing worth looking good for
or avoiding toiling
here for
Just bones and terminates,
Just your soon to be end,
No eternity or reincarnation for lazy fingers
Just nothing,
Come on, wake up
and realize today we live and die,
And tomorrow they bury us
forgotten!
World to continue.
