WHEN SWANS CLAP~by Bipul Kalita

Swans clap
as they feel free
to fly to the blue corner
to awaken me from day dreams
warning me to prejudice coiled feelings

Clapping in loud rhythms
my hands awaken the man in me
to sing the name of God for immortal bliss
to ink ways of touching mortal hearts around me
weaving emotional lanes to their remotest poetic cells

Swans clap
as their fading songs start
to make me feel like a stranger
to find myself in front of a mystic calendar
weighing cranky passions to play with speedy time

Clapping in loud rhythms
my fingers dance in this rhythmic age
to remind me how tiny components of time passes
to slant man’s unconscious conscience to fool his desires
winking at the swans’ natural flight towards the never ending blue.
